HOUSTON A mailmans careless delivery to a northwest Houston home was caught on camera Saturday.
In the video, the postal worker can be seen rolling up in the driveway, walks a few steps and then tosses the box towards the porch. This is on De Lange Lane near Antoine Drive.
The homeowner, who didnt want to be identified, said he was surprised when he watched the video.
Mailman tosses package on porch in NW Houston
This is amazing….A letter carrier throws a package and its on TV and all the lame excusses follow….Really people, you are not taught that and it looks terrible…Just because its tossed around in the mail plant its ok…You people are messed up…And yes the union will fight this and thats terrible…He should be held accountable for his actions but the union way and the democratic way is to blame everyone else…Let me guess its the republicans fault right….This is why I got out of the union(NALC) and will never give my money to them again…They are a disgrace and you union lovers are the workers who do nothing and get away with it..The union are the reasons we are losing money..Open your eyes…
Lot’s of questions need to be asked. Was this a full-time letter carrier, or one of the poorly trained City Carrier Assistants?

DOWN WITH ISSA AND HIS TEA PARTY JERKS PLEASE HELP GET HIM VOTED OUT OF OFFICE!! IF YOU WANT TO EVER LEAVE THE POST OFFICE BUY FACEBOOK NOW BEFORE IT IS TO LATE. NO LYE
I can hit a front stoop from 30 feet with a 2 lb box it is common practice bye carriers ask anyone of them you see “Mr Postman have you ever tossed a package, if they say no they are lying LOL
27 years working at the post office taught me one thing: add UPS & FDX to my stock portfolio. has worked out for me. started adding UPS when it went public over 15 years ago. saw it as a hedge against poor mismanagement. do not need the OIG to tell me the po mismanagement lost 12 billion last year. pay new employees peanuts, you will attract monkeys.
Looks like no big deal, but let’s make a story out of a non-event. Anyone who knows anything about package handling, knows that this package was already tossed several times in the same fashion. It’s obviously a very lightweight package, and there was no risk to the contents inside by being tossed about. But, we are a cheap tv station that only goes for the lazy story that costs nothing to pursue. Probably fill half their newscast with “viral” YouTube videos! Great piece of journalism boys!!!!
There certainly is no excuse for that mishandling of the package. Of course, the homeowner doesn’t know how many times that box was probably thrown going through plants before it ever got to the route. There is only one type of parcel that can withstand a toss, book form, like a phone book or a big hardback that is clearly marked as such. They can handle a short toss/skid, but that box should never be thrown. There’s no way the carrier could possibly have known what was in there and I doubt he looked very hard.
But he won’t be removed. He should get an official discussion, then a letter of warning, etc. Enufisenuf exaggerates greatly with the supposed defense of this carrier. It’s obvious either he’s a manager himself which would explain his poor grammar – the NALC would “file its grievance”, not “it’s” grievance, or a scab who just hates the union but is happy to accept his wages and benefits for nothing the others have to pay for.
Either way, the delivery was unprofessional but haven’t we all done a bone headed thing or two in our career at one time or another? Don’t wish the death penalty when a fine can get the job done.
And everyone is up in arms about Staples employees selling stamps? Give me a break. Rest assured that the United States Postal Service Federal Employee in this video will not lose his job after the union (NALC) files it’s grievance. They will take the position that the United States Postal Service Federal Employee in this video was overworked and feared for his life when he threw the package. Or maybe he had been forced to work in the dark the night before. This is, of course, all management’s fault.
