Man follows mailman, steals package off doorstep
A surveillance camera caught a crook that followed a mail carrier and stole a package off a resident’s doorstep Friday morning.
The thief, who appears to be a young man, can be seen on video pulling up in a Pontiac Solstice. He gets out of the car, walks to the door, grabs the package and runs.
The homeowner, Eric Love, said his wife was home but she was busy taking care of the couple’s baby.
The couple said they believe the man followed the mail carrier and watched him deliver the package to the front door.
As for the package’s contents, it turns out the box only contained diapers and some Tums.
“It’s comical,” Love said.
