3/26/2018 MANASSAS, Va. (ABC7) — The 7 On Your Side I-Team obtained pictures of inside the U.S. Post Office on Euclid Avenue in Manassas, Virginia. Sources inside the post office call the working conditions deplorable and even hazardous.
Floors in restrooms are dirty and sinks are nasty. Walls are covered in something and the soap dispenser is missing.
Floors near lockers are filthy. The break room is a mess. Trash and plastic delivery tubs tossed on the floor.
The ceiling is falling apart. There are ceiling tiles resting on top of a partial wall divider.

on cable TV there is a show that goes to the factory of automoble/motorcycle companies…..rolls royce, bentley, chevy, maserati, cooper mini, bmw, kawasaki, ducati etc. one thing in common is you could bring your lunch and sit on the floor to eat it is so clean……….PO is like an old, decaying building built in USSR in the 1950’s. pretty sad to see this place implode….but remember we have pc marxist cultural diversity lol.

Here in St Petersburg , we thought we had a sewerage problem, with waste floating through the hallway. It turned out to be a supervisor crawling on the floor, looking for one of his contacts
I bet the Postmasters office and area where the stupidvisors rest is nice and clean. Just sling more donuts and coffee.
As nasty as it sounds its true. Here at the San Bernardino P&DC in California its just as bad. Nasty filthy bathrooms, men and women. One of my co-workers which is a male has pictures of the men bathroom showing urinals withe plastic bags wrapped around them fill with the over flow of urine and water, with it spilling all over the floor. Not to mention the mold all around the walls in both bathrooms. Nasty dirt stained sinks and toilets. Bathrooms not being sanitize properly. All throughout the building empty equipment obstructing isle ways that would be a disaster in case of fire, or earthquake. OSHA has been here several times, and still they can’t keep it clean, nor will they come up with a solution to the problem. Only time they somewhat clean the building is when the big wigs come to visit!! Disgusting!!!
We have contract custodians at a P&DC. Lobby gets cleaned. Bathrooms get cleaned. Trash gets emptied sometimes. Workroom floor never sees a mop unless something gets spilled. Dust everywhere.
Hey, you missed a scan! Why were you at this certain address 2 minutes longer today than you were yesterday? We will be issuing a 7 day working suspension. Have a nice day.
You would never know we had a $50,000 a year mop jockey. My PO looks like it is in a third world country. The floor is ruined because he has never properly cleaned it or waxed it. I’ve asked him to dust but he said he doesn’t dust. He does the bare minimum and sleeps in his broom closet. When he cleans the powder room he closes the door for about 30 minutes but the sink is still gray. I’ve asked him to bring cleanser to our Station from the main office to clean the sink and toilet but won’t do it. What do you think would happen if I refused to do half of my job or only wait on half of the customers?
Long Island District, Mid Island……..looks like a slum you see when you are coming into a landing at Bombay Airport, India. the building is beyond filthy. even the 3 inch thick dirt is dirty.
In the Suncoast District, we have had pallets of water brought in for months now for both drinking and washing our hands because our plumbing has neglected to be fixed. The water fountains were supposed to have had their filters changed and back up and running by the 26th of this month.
Here in Toledo OH is also filthy restroom. All the custodian do is mop and put blue cleaner in toilet.

I work in a large office and we have 2 stalls in the bathroom that have been out of service for over 6 months. Bathrooms and floors are filthy, nothing gets swept and mice all over the building. We only have 2 employees to clean the building when there should be at least 4. Also the building is falling into disrepair. Security doors not working, doors falling off hinges, and countless other problems not receiving attention. I am thinking of taking photos and reporting this to someone outside the post office. Management doesn’t care.

Asbestos. These are just a few of the things going on inside
Americas Post Offices. The truth is coming out. Outdated
facilities. Lack of maintenance. Toolbag bosses. Get out
while you can.

GREAT JOB,,you people are pigs you made the floors and bathroom stink by not cleaning up after yourself …it is easy to blame someone else for you not cleaning up your station….. get a mop and start cleaning you clerks,you can work down to a janitor job so GET TO CLEANING AND STOP CRYING …wow I would like to see what your homes look like ……postmaster why did you let this happen? area manager is going to like you and also the VP would like to know why this is on the NEWS …..LOL
USPS is excessing (dissolving/ doing away with) janitorial maintenance jobs. They’re budgeting less hours for the work to be done. They are proposing contracting these jobs out. The P.O. I work in is experiencing this. The condition of the Lobby is priority. Our trash cans get emptied daily, but the dust bunnies, cobwebs, etc gets pretty bad before being cleaned. Our ladies restrooms get pretty nasty before finally getting cleaned, and then it is just the basics- sink, toilet, and mopping. The drippings on the walls and dust in the radiator, and in behind the toilet get really bad before getting cleaned. I have sprayed and cleaned the toilet seat several times before using it.
