Was the truck an LLV? Instead of forcing the Postal service to pre fund health care costs, Congress should end that crazy idea. Or force ever other employer to pre fund health care costs! Why doesn’t congress care about the unsafe death trap trucks instead of coming up with a plan to destroy the Postal service? Now if a carrier wears the wrong shoes, the carrier is disciplined for unsafe work practice, while management gets away with forcing carriers to drive trucks that burn everyday.
This is such a sad day for this lady’s family. Your other views of the politics of improving the USPS might better be addressed in a different
circumstance.
