Motorcycle crash takes life of Washington state postal worker

Melody R. Edwards, of Priest River, was killed Saturday, July 12, when the Harley Davidson motorcycle she was driving swerved off U.S. Highway 12 near Lewiston. Edwards was a window/distribution clerk  for the Newport Post Office.

Edwards 58, was riding a Harley-Davidson westbound when she came around a corner and drifted off the right shoulder, causing her to lose control, the Idaho State Police said. Edwards succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

  2. I was so deeply saddened to hear of this tragic loss. Mel was a wonderful person who touched more lives than she probably she knew . . . she will be missed. My sincere condolences to the Edwards family.
