A new commercial featuring a cast composed of employees launches Monday night on prime-time television.
Part of the commercial was produced in the Santa Clarita, CA, P&DC. The Castaic, CA, Post Office was also a venue. A cast of 16 employees from Sierra Coastal District facilities participated in an intense weekend of preparation and production.
The employees selected to participate in the production of the ad enjoyed their work. “I love new experiences, and being in this commercial was certainly that,” said Van Nuys, CA, Letter Carrier Jeff Thomas. “I was very happy to do my part to promote our shipping services and grow our business.”
The new ad is the latest round of a comprehensive multi-media campaign on the Postal Service’s revamped Priority Mail offering. Already, USPS has sent an introductory mailpiece to 10 million U.S. businesses. A second, 140-million mailpiece is scheduled for mailing to residential customers in September. And print advertising began in up to 50 publications this month, with variations on the campaign to run through the holiday season.
