The first #PostalProud poster encourages employees to take the extra step to protect customers’ treasures.
The Postal Service has introduced #PostalProud, an initiative to convey the pride and dedication of its employees.
#PostalProud will include workplace posters, stand-up talks and other communications that emphasize organizational principles, such as accurate scanning, delivering mail with care and treating customers with courtesy.
USPS facilities will begin receiving these materials during the week of Nov. 30.
“Through #PostalProud, we will underscore our organization’s clear sense of mission, including the special role of the mail in strengthening the bonds of families, friends and businesses,” said PMG Megan Brennan.
In a new video message, Chief Operating Officer Dave Williams and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Jim Cochrane further explain how employees can incorporate #PostalProud into their daily work.
#PostalProud stems from conversations with employees throughout the organization, the PMG said.
“They each told us the same thing: They are proud to deliver for our customers,” Brennan said. “We heard what they had to say, and that’s why we’re eager to get started with this initiative.”

Here’s a major part of the problem. I can’t disagree with the statements made below, the work environment is what it is, no survey with leading questions such as the Postal Plus will ever fix anything in the USPS today.
As far as wages are concerned, the USPS has to acknowledge first locality pay in order to move the attitude of the craft employee in the right direction.
Then, the antiquated work methods being used has got to change, as an example. Carriers should be allowed to case everything into a one bundle system and all park & loop routes should be converted into dismounted routes. Yes…I’m advocating a rural carrier type of pay and delivery system, it’s long over due.
The next thing perhaps one of the first things that the USPS has to do is fire EAS employees who have cost the company money in EEO cases. I can see and understand a mistake. But…I can’t see nor understand multiple mistakes by the very same individual over an over again, that cost the USPS thousands of dollars in settlements. This person should be removed from the service and not allowed to serve in a position of authority any longer. Where is a USPS policy statement on this, you can’t have a bad apple continue to rain havoc and think it doesn’t affect the morale of both the craft and EAS’s!!!!
In order to increase the morale and make people “proud” of this organization, fire the idiot management types that break the rules instead of just shuffling them around to become someone else’s problem. I have seen many managers give us stand up talks about the evils of sexual harassment and how the PO has a zero tolerance about it, then they do it and get moved on to another place. make a statement and fire those sleaze bags.
They need supervisor that know how the WHOLE operation runs before they can supervisor not some kid off the street. We have one that is a 204B that keeps asking me (a clerk) how this or that is done and what do we need to do? And tried to push some of her job on the clerks!
Wonder who got, and how much, their bonus was for coming up with this bs.
This is all window dressing as always….hey miss postmaster, talk is cheap…offer a substantial wage increase….then you will see more pride
How the hell would Brennan or any top cat in the USPS management know anything about pride in the workplace? This is insulting in so many ways I can’t even list them all.
I take pride in my work as a personal trait, not your stupid “mission”. Do you even have the slightest clue, management, that you are the cause of dissension, low morale and lousy service? Employees are run down, worn out, bullied, threatened, and sick of the way management screws everything up.
This “initiative” is childish thinking, and comes across as if you truly regard your craft workers as childish themselves, which some of you no doubt do. You must clean your own dirty house if you expect positive results from craft employees. Sure, we’re not all angels, and there are plenty of lousy craft workers out there, too. But in terms of ratio, I’ll bet dollars to donuts the percentage of good honest hard working craft people outnumber management by 7 or 8 to one, at least.
You simply cannot expect superior performance when you deliver extremely poor performances yourselves.
Amen!..yours anonymously!!
“Postal Proud”??? HaHa … Mgmt attempt to rebrand the USPS… Meg was instrumental in developing the culture that earned us our current moniker “GOING POSTAL”!!!!!!
Where are the posters urging management to abide by the contract and not abuse employees? Oh, wait, the public never sees that so they don;t have to curtail that problem.
if u need a poster to “urge” managers to act within the law, you have only begun to scratch that itch. why not warn then fire. that’s what would happen to someone lower on the pay scale. better yet, slice that performance bonus for each infraction. then make posters proudly declaring how “this station has preserved workers’ rights and saved the post office money at the same time. then take that bonus money and give at least half of it to the infringed upon employee
Better get the litter boxes ready. I already smell the cat pee
and dung piling up around us. Another excuse for Management
to justify their useless existence. The PO should be making
Billions but the thugs are ruining things. Way to go
Meaghan
You hire ccas to help you…. then you pressure them to do 10 hrs of work in 8 hours…that’s why they are not accurate. ..Mrs postmaster. .are you informed on what really goes on ?
The rank and file insulted once again
Window Clerk,……Their fellow craft employees treat them with no respect…..
Great idea Meg. Nobody is going to catch you with your pants down. I’m so glad you’re running the show
To underscore the organization’s clear sense of mission! I know they must be joking! They have no earthly idea what they are doing! Their decisions appear to be geared towards destroying the PO. They cannot substantiate any data to back up their decisions. And they care nothing about their employees.
While employees may be proud of their job, that in no way means they are happy. This is one of the poorest run businesses I e ever seen. They promote those who get in trouble to get them out of one position. And end up causing more problems!
This is such BS they hire people, cca’s, rca’s and pse’s then treat them like crap and expect them to take pride in there work ? They just want to get the route done what do you get if you get done on time a bump . I work the window there is not a day goes by that someone will come with misdeliveries be it mail or parcels. Hire full time Employees that really have something to lose if they can’t do the job. They will all take pride in there work.
It sounds very much like Fred Flintstone’s image of what a big executive’s primary job is. Megan Brennan probably got her executive training from old,”Flintstones”,carton videos.
