New York man facing 20 years in prison for assaulting mail carrier

Rochester man facing 20 years in prison for assaulting mail carrierRochester, NY – A man pleaded guilty Monday of assaulting a United States Postal Service mail carrier.

Orlando Justice, 27, of Rochester plead guilty after officials say he threatened the mail carrier with an assault-style rifle. The court report says the mail carrier refused to deliver mail to Justice’s home because he had been attacked by dogs.

Justice was charged earlier this year with assaulting a U.S. Postal Service employee with a dangerous weapon, and brandishing a firearm to commit the assault.

Justice also falsely claimed that the mail carrier had sprayed him with mace, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

The charges carry a minimum sentence of seven years in prison, a maximum of life, and a fine of $250,000.
