  1. Keep your disrespectful comments to yourself, Smokey walked that route everyday and walked it faster then most, he is a dedicated member of this community, we all love him and pray for his recovery. He is by far not an old slow moving relic, and you ought to be ashamed of yourself for talking about him like that, if you had the privilege to know him you would bite your bitter tongue. Get well soon Smokey, your our hero.

    • Right Rebecca. What folks don’t realize is, just like there are people who don’t want to work, there are some who does. Obviously, he liked his job to have held it that long. Who is to judge? And he must have been getting the job done, to keep it.

  2. Wow! 55 years of service? Well Smokey I hope you get what you always wanted, to die on the job! Stupid just plain stupid, I bet he has over 5000 hours of sick leave too! The bean counters love a guy like this think of the money they make and keep if old Smokey doesn’t pull thru and doesn’t ever use any sick leave or collect any pension. Hey maybe they’ll name a post office for him?
