Stow — The Stow Post Office was open for business Sept. 16 after a Hudson woman crashed her car into the building’s lobby two days earlier.
The lobby was open to customers the day after the crash.
“It mainly took out the front door,” said Postal Service spokesperson David Van Allen.

On Saturday. September 14, 2013 at 11:45 a.m. a 2009 Toyota Camry operated by a 50 year old female resident of Hudson, Ohio drove into the lobby of the United States Post Office at 3900 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio. The vehicle drove through the front doors of the Post Office and into the front lobby injuring a 51 year old female resident of Stow.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to the Emergency Room at Akron General Medical Center in Stow by Stow EMS. The female patron was transported by Stow EMS to City Hospital in Akron.
The condition of both of the injured parties is unknown at this time.
The Post Office will be closed pending repair of the front entrance.
The accident is under investigation.
