Ohio Postmaster pleads guilty to stealing $160,4193/3/16 A former postmaster in Groveport, OH is accused of stealing more than $160,400 in post-office money, according to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court this week.

Carol DiSanto, 59, of Grove City, has agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge of misappropriating postal funds, according to court documents. She is scheduled to appear in court next on March 11.

The complaint alleges that DiSanto took the funds from Dec. 9, 2008 to March 16, 2011. An investigation showed that she did things such as under-report sales and create “ghost” refunds that weren’t made, said Special Agent Scott Balfour, spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General.
