Ohio: Some mail damaged in postal truck fire

mailfire1About 150 pieces of mail were damaged when an engine fire gutted a U.S. Postal Service delivery truck in Findlay.
Firefighters responded to a fire that “completely destroyed” the vehicle’s engine compartment at about 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at 631 Bright Road, said Matt Pickett, the department’s fire investigator.

The truck engine stalled during the mail carrier’s route on Bright Road, Pickett said. The carrier restarted it and smoke appeared as he called his supervisor, Pickett said.
