(November 25, 2014) Police are warning residents to keep an eye on home deliveries this holiday season, as a number of residents have reported stolen or tampered with packages.
So far this year there have been 77 reported package thefts in Brookline, up from 47 for the entire year of 2013 and 49 in 2102, according to police data.
And police expect an uptick around the holidays.
“There’s been more package thefts in the last six months,” said Brookline Police spokesman Officer Ronnie McNeil. “Be aware of it, and take the precautions.”
