Pennsylvania postal worker accused of stealing meds meant for veterans

mailtheftA Duquesne man who was working for the United States Postal Service was indicted Tuesday with stealing packages containing medications for veterans.

Gregory M. Schur, 36, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on a charge of theft of mail by a postal employee. Between May and August, according to the indictment, Mr. Schur stole packages containing prescription medication addressed to customers of the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and mail containing money.

If found guilty, Mr. Schur could be sentenced up to five years in prison and face a fine of $250,000.
