PMG Pat Donahoe presents Teneisha Black with her plaque as new Postmaster of Venetia, PA.
It’s not every day PMG Pat Donahoe stops by a local Post Office. When he does, there’s usually an important reason for the visit.
He made the trip to his hometown Post Office in Venetia, PA, for two important reasons — to swear in Teneisha Black as the new Postmaster and to thank employees for their good work.
“I wanted to stop by and thank you for the job you do,” said Donahoe. “This is my Post Office, and I can attest to the great service you provide. I sign dozens of new Postmaster appointments, and when I saw Venetia, I wanted to be here in person to swear in Teneisha.”
Even with the Postal Service’s top official as a resident and customer, Black’s priorities haven’t changed. “Yes, we are aware of it, and it’s an honor,” she said. We just make sure we’re correct with the mail and make no mistakes.”
With Western Pennsylvania District Manager Jay Phelan, other postal officials and her employees as witnesses, Black raised her right hand and repeated the oath read to her by Donahoe.
“I’m honored that the PMG would take the time to come out and visit us,” Black said. “USPS is a great company to work for, and this is a very special day for me
