HOUSTON — In the middle of the widespread flooding, a post office building collapsed in north Houston Thursday morning.
The U.S. Postal Service mail distribution center collapsed without warning.
It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the facility in the 4600 block of Aldine Bender.
The building was occupied but everyone made it out.
Three people were taken to area hospitals to be checked out. Their injuries are believed to be minor.
A few vehicles were badly damaged when the side of the building fell on them.
We don’t know the cause of the collapse, but the building has a flat roof so it’s possible it could be related to the heavy rain.
