CORPUS CHRISTI – The Chapman Ranch post office has been shut down because of potentially hazardous damage to the building.

The U.S. Postal Service announced Monday that they ordered the emergency closure of that building on Friday.

A spokesman says the damage was caused by rain and bad weather over a period of time.

It was discovered during a recent inspection.

One of the biggest concerns is the ceiling which is in danger of collapse.
