1/28/16 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Eric Goertz works from home and said he was surprised by what showed up on his doorstep during a down pour. A soggy priority mail package was left in a puddle. Goertz took cell phone video of the soaked delivery.
“Yesterday I was on the phone,” Goertz recalled. “It was like midday and I heard like a light wrapping at my door. I walk over here to the door and I open the door not ten seconds after I hear that faint knock. I open the door and the package is like submerged in water.”
Goertz’s video also shows him heading towards his mail carrier’s van. He said he wanted to ask her why the delivery was left in standing water.
“I caught her red handed I don’t know what the thought process was leaving a package in standing water other than like I don’t care,” Goertz detailed. “I ran over there and I got the plate and she must have saw me, because as soon as she saw me come up she like starts the car up and gasses it.”

What’s all the slack about? That carrier has no time to write up a parcel slip or wait around for a customer to come to the door. If they waste time they loose their job. So what’s more important? Your package or their job?
This guy runs a business from home, he needs to get a bigger mailbox to accomodate his packages. Otherwise I would leave a notice for him to pick up his stuff at the Post Office.
Lol funny cause same thing happen to my wife! I really upset cause I work for the P.O. but not the one that service us. POST OFFICE THINK LIKE FEDEX AND USE PLASTIC BAGS TO SECURE THE PACKAGES WHEN WE DELIVER WHEN IT’S WET OUTSIDE. SHOW CARE!!
If you really worked for the USPS, you’d know that there are no plastic bags available.
If i were your mailman, tomorrow I would lightly rap on your face a few times then mop the water up with your unconscious rag doll, corpulent body.
