Post Offices will remain open during the federal government shutdown
USPS will continue normal operations during the federal government shutdown that began today. The Postal Service does not receive tax money to support operations.
Employees should report to work as usual, including those who work at Post Offices located in federal buildings.
USPS also will continue to accept passport services during this period
Hey Scott, I know it’s hard dealing with some “Highly Intelligent Idiot’s”
I understand what you’re saying, You appear to be one of the person that care about the job just like myself and a few other’s, now what can people like us, the one’s who care’s do to make a better work place for the people like ourselves.
@SCOTTIE (beam me up, scotie)
do you want some sandwiches ?
Why don’t we furlough management indefinitely? They do nothing but screw operations up with their fucking numbers and total lack of experience that doesn’t involve ass kissing and snitching. Every person I ever worked with who joined management has, with only a very few exceptions, was a piss poor carrier and one you couldn’t trust at all. Go figure.
Of course, there are some carriers who are dishonest and pull shit if they think they can get away with it – I don’t wear blinders and buy the union line that everybody has his or her pace. There should be a certain degree of proficiency and efficiency for the money career carriers make. I’m an NALC branch president, but I think it looks terrible to my members and the USPS to hide behind the union and shit on everybody around me. I get a lot more respect because I do go out and do a real day’s work.
So, it’s six of one, half a dozen of the other. Get rid of incompetent management and carriers who hide out and get overtime for not working, move slower than a snail and take up all the union resources and time while I have to represent their sorry asses. But as usual, nobody asked me, so in three years I’m outta here and it’s somebody else’s problem for a damn change.
