A Staten Island postal worker was charged for failing to deliver more than 500 letters over three days that he was shacked up with his girlfriend in her Staten Island apartment, authorities said Friday.
Postal inspectors received a tip on Wednesday that there was a pile of undelivered mail inside Taurean Hawkins’ girlfriend’s Warren St. apartment, according to the criminal complaint filed in Brooklyn Federal Court.
Sure enough, the inspectors found 544 pieces of mail postmarked from Dec. 11 to Dec. 13, according to special agent Jacabed Ventura
