BOSTON, Massachusetts – A Roxbury man was sentenced today for stealing iPhones from the mail and making false statements.

Mark Dozier, 58, was sentenced by Senior U.S. District Judge Mark L. Wolf to two years in prison, three years of supervised release and $595 in restitution. In March of this year, he pleaded guilty to theft of mail by an employee of the postal service and making false statements. Dozier has been in custody since his arrest in 2012.

While working as an employee at the U.S. Postal Service, Dozier was caught stealing iPhones from the mail sorting machine. He confessed to stealing 12 iPhones over the course of several weeks and reselling them at a local barbershop. Dozier also lied about his identity on his application to become a Postal worker, using his brother’s name and date of birth rather than his own.

United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz and Rafael Medina, Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Postal Service, Office of the Inspector General, Northeast Area Office, made the announcement today. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Eugenia M. Carris of Ortiz’s Public Corruption and Special Prosecutions Unit.

  1. funny how Regional Director Ms Cullen of Northern Cali, CA Veteran Administration lied for years on govt document promotion forms about the fact she had a MBA degree, and at other time lied that she had a MPH degree from a NYC University, when in fact she had no Masters degree at all. this was checked out by VA OIG 1n 2009……yet she is still on payroll getting bonus cash and making 300K-when she too should be in jail like this aforementioned postal worker. its fraud, making false statements on govt documents. call your congress person and demand Cullen be arrested like this postal worker.

  2. The individual was a TE employee. However, the thieving a^s Postal manager of the VMF in Cleveland is another story…

  3. Nice try Troy, and again, wrong as usual.

Wanna bet he was a cca ?

This is what happens when you mgmt. slugs decide to have a non-career work force.

    Also, notice the difference ?

    This guy was held accountable.

Unlike the rampant theft and corruption pervading mgmt. ranks.

  4. Well what do you know……Another CRAFT employee stealing from the USPS. I guess management should be doing a better ‘backround’ check of these scum-bags before hiring them!!

  5. “The U.S. Mail Is Not for Sale,” protesters shouted, and “Whose Post Office? The people’s post office!” Damn straight…the people would rather have postal employees robbing the mails than Staples employees!
