U.S. Rural Mail Carrier Killed On The Job In Western Kentucky
PRINCETON, KY – A two-vehicle wreck that took a woman’s life near Princeton Monday is under investigation, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP says the wreck happened around 3:21 p.m. Monday on U.S. 62, about a mile west of Princeton. Mail carrier Paula Brown, 50,of Fredonia was stopped on the emergency strip on the eastbound lane, delivering mail when her Jeep Cherokee was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe.
Brown was taken to Caldwell County Medical Center, and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving there. The other driver, 69-year-old Diana Sams, also of Fredonia, was taken to the Caldwell County Medical Center, treated for minor injuries, and released.

I hope the driver of the Tahoe was “released” into police custody. I can’t imagine any circumstances where she could hit anyone at a stop hard enough to kill them and still have a valid excuse.
