Postal Worker who claimed mail-in ballot tampering in PA recants allegations

ERIE, Pa. (WBTW) — A United States Postal Service worker who made claims of mail-in ballot tampering in Pennsylvania — which Senator Lindsey Graham called for investigation into — recanted his allegations Monday.

The USPS employee, identified as Richard Hopkins, signed a sworn affidavit alleging ballot tampering and fraud. In the affidavit, the postal worker alleged that postal supervisory officials hatched a plan to backdate ballots mailed after the election.

The Oversight Committee said Hopkins was interviewed by investigators Friday and Monday recanted the allegations without saying why he signed a false affidavit. There is no word if Hopkins will face perjury charges.

GoFundMe Puts Fundraiser For ‘Whistleblower’ Mail Carrier On Hold

GoFundMe has reportedly taken action against a fundraiser for USPS mail carrier Richard Hopkins who alleged election fraud on the part of his supervisors.

The page was started by Hopkins himself after he publicly came forward with the allegations. On the page, Hopkins points out that he is “willing to testify under oath that 2020 Presidential Election ballots are being backdated to November 3rd by my supervisors.” He suggests that he might lose his job because of his actions, directly or indirectly, and the raised funds would help him until he finds a new one.

“The Post Office has already been threatening my employment. I am scared for myself, my family, and those closest to me,” he wrote.

The GoFundMe for Hopkins has, so far, raised $128,478.

  2. First he invents a voter lie story, then he said he lied, then he says he didn’t lie. He sounds just like his hero Das Fat Dildo. How many more times will he change his story? He sounds just like his hero Das Fat Dildo. A journalism professor at York University, Toronto, has research that shows his hero has lied over 17,000 times. By the end of the week another story will be thrown out.
