Postal workers and their backers rallied Monday to protest what they say is a White House effort to take the U.S. Postal Service private. President Trump says the service needs to be restructured to prevent a bailout funded by taxpayers
In May, President Trump signed an executive order creating a task force to evaluate the Postal Service’s operations and finances. The task force has not yet released its findings. Trump’s proposal boasted cost-savings as a selling point for privatization.
Local representatives of the postal unions and their supporters contend that privatizing the Postal Service would be a bad move, and would increase prices, while reducing jobs and the service to the public, especially in rural communities.
“It’s an absolutely crazy idea to privatize the Postal Service,” said Mike Monopoli, congressional district liaison for the National Association of Letter Carriers, one of four postal unions that participated in the protest. source

Private individuals create, transport and sell us food, medicines, transportation, clothing, housing, energy, entertainment, security, communications, information, etc. Private individuals can procure most everything else that we need, except the military and some aspects of Criminal Justice.

I was told that 68 percent of Postal workers voted for Mr. Bankruptcy. If the Postal Service is privatized the fools that voted for Mr. Fabulous can, and will get jobs in the coal mines or factories. The oil co. filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and left behind 27 million in pollution the EPA must clean up. The oil co. is owned by a high government official. We don’t need to be privatized as bad is the current system. What needs to be done is take away the PEA of 2006 and drain the swamp of bad management, which is 98%, get some managers who know the mail, learn how to communicate and treat employees right and fairly.
