Postmaster General to Meet with Election Committee of Secretaries of State

WASHINGTON, DC — As part of the ongoing preparation for the election in November, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy will participate in a follow-up meeting with the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Election Committee on Thursday, Sept. 17. This meeting follows an Aug. 26 conference call with NASS President and New Mexico Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver, NASS Elections Committee Co-Chairs Jocelyn Benson, Michigan Secretary of State, and Frank LaRose, Ohio Secretary of State, and Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft.

During the Aug. 26 call, DeJoy reiterated to the Secretaries of State that delivering ballots entrusted to the Postal Service is the organization’s number one priority between now and Election Day, and that the Postal Service is ready, willing, and able to handle the nation’s election mail. He underscored the Postal Service’s commitment to partnering with state election officials as they work to ensure that those who choose to use the mail to vote will have their ballots counted in anticipation of the expected spike in Election Mail amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I look forward to continuing the close cooperation with our nation’s Secretaries of State. We stand ready to assist states and look forward to partnering with them on educating voters who plan to vote by mail,” said Postmaster General DeJoy, who is participating in the Sept. 17 committee meeting at the invitation of Secretary of State Benson. “I will reiterate to the American public that if you choose to use the mail to vote, be sure to request ballots early and mail them back early.”

  1. Reviewing Louis DeJoy’s testimony this weekend, coincided with the Washington Times report that Louis DeJoy was using a straw-donor scheme while at his former company for over a decade.

Louis has since departed XPO Logistics, and has been replaced with a new CEO. The new CEO is still operating under the rules of the lease agreement signed while Louis DeJoy was still CEO at XPO Logistics. This is an important thing to note, because if all suspicions are correct and Louis DeJoy is throttling the #USPS with mismanagement, the easier move would to be to watch for an overall slippage of XPO Logistics performance in 2020, and according with it’s partners; it has.

CEO Bradley Jacobs has issued a statement, pleading with stakeholders to stay with the company during this difficult period, citing Corona-virus effecting supply-lines issues. If the company is sand-bagging it’s partner, the USPS, that is a violation of the performance clause in their contract, the Claw-Back policy covers ‘willful misconduct’ that results in ‘material losses’ for the company.

All parties covered in the Claw-Back clause in ‘willful misconduct’ by XPO Logistics
are CEO Bradley S. Jacobs and fellow board members Troy A. Cooper, Mario A. Harik, Ken R. Wagers III, John J. Hardig, and Sarah J. S. Glickman.

Louis DeJoy needs to be replaced immediately and the former Postmaster General Megan Brennan, whom Trump drove out, returns to helm the Post Office until December 1st. A neutral arbitrator of the USPS is needed and Louis DeJoy is a loathsome choice and should be removed immediately while he is under investigation for prior straw-donor schemes in North Carolina.

Megan Brennan was supposed to have a voice in the selection process, turns out the selection process was whittled down to one of the 2016 RNC Finance Deputies: Not Michael Cohen, not Elliot Briody, but Louis Dejoy was the selection for Postmaster General by North Carolina-native Mark Meadows, Steven Mnuchin, and Board of Governors Chair Mike Duncan and BoG member John M. Barger.

  2. Looking forward to this. We are already putting out policy reminders for our delivery personnel in our city.
