Q & A: Will OPM credit monitoring run concurrent with USPS offer?

Q & A: Will OPM credit monitoring run concurrent with USPS offer? The following is a question from PostalReporter.com reader:

OPM announced that “If you’re a current or former Federal employee eligible to receive CSID’s Protector Plus coverage, you will receive a notification via email or the U.S. Postal Service beginning Monday, June 8, 2015. Notifications will be delivered over the course of the following two weeks. All affected individuals will receive a complimentary subscription to CSID Protector Plus for 18 months. Every affected individual, regardless of whether or not they explicitly take action to enroll, will have $1 million of identity theft insurance and access to full-service identity restoration provided by CSID.

PostalReporter readers raised an interesting question: Will the “complimentary subscription to CSID Protector Plus for 18 months” run AFTER the offer from USPS which runs for 12 months? Or do postal employees run both subscriptions at the same time?

But readers are saying the FREE protection from OPM should not begin until after the expiration of USPS credit monitoring.
