INDIANAPOLIS – The holidays are approaching, but the Grinch has arrived early in Indianapolis.

Metro police and the postal service are investigating the theft of a package from the porch of a north side homeowner.

Surveillance video from a house in the 4400 block of Winthrop Avenue shows the theft occurring around 4 p.m. Sunday.

With two suspects acting as lookouts, the thief approaches the porch, carefully scanning the neighborhood for potential witnesses.

When the other two men get in a van parked out front, the suspect grabs the package and runs. The thief didn’t even seem to notice the camera.

  1. Shouldn’t be too hard to find the guy, they were next door for what ever reason. It didn’t look like they were nervouse being over there. The neighbors must know at least one of the guys!

  2. Brings new meaning to the postal service Sunday Amazon delivery slogan of “ring & run”
