NALC is deeply saddened to learn that Letter Carrier Eugene Arao, a member of Reno, NV Branch 709, died after being struck by lightning on Saturday, July 25th.
Last week, Eugene celebrated his 22nd year with USPS. He worked at the Reno Post Office, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He leaves behind his wife of 27 years and three sons.
“On behalf of the NALC, we mourn the loss of Brother Arao,” NALC President Fredric Rolando said. “We send our thoughts and prayers to Eugene’s wife and his sons, the rest of his family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones.”
No one even told me. I suppose I missed the funeral if there was one here locally in Reno. He will be greatly missed, always a nice person and he would not hesitate to engage in good conversation. So nice to always bring me my mail. Any more information please let me know.
Thats sad
