Employee Resource Management VP Rosemarie Fernandez
PMG Pat Donahoe has announced the selection of Rosemarie Fernandez as Employee Resource Management VP, effective immediately. Fernandez has held the position on an acting basis since June 3, 2013.
Fernandez is responsible for directing talent acquisition and retention programs and personnel services, along with selection, safety, health and medical programs. Additionally, she is responsible for managing Human Resources Shared Services, organizational design and workforce effectiveness and the ergonomics and risk-reduction program.
“I know her skills and leadership will benefit the organization as we continue to build a strong, competitive workforce and position the Postal Service well for the future,” said Donahoe.
A 35-year postal employee, Fernandez began her career as a clerk in Van Nuys, CA, and served from 2000-2004 as San Francisco Postmaster. Prior to being named as acting Employee Resource Management VP, she served as San Francisco District Manager.
In Sept. 2011, Fernandez was named National District Manager of the Year by the Postal Customer Council. She also received a Vice Presidents Award from USPS and was named as one of the “Most Influential Women in the Bay Area” by the San Francisco Business Times.

stars23-Rosemarie doesn’t need to pad her high 3, her husband was Bay Valley District Manager who management at HQ had retire last year.
Responsible for directing “talent acquisition” and retention programs? WTF? LMAO!every employee knows talent has nothing to do with promotions in the PO.And isn’t there an early out for EAS with RIF’s coming after? we shall see if Downahole will actually cut back management or this is just smoke and mirrors to allow him to say to Issa’s committee that he has cut manangement.
When they downsized human resources this job should have been downsized too!! But bloated management and poor performance are rewarded?
Oh let’s not forget people she’s in for at least 3 , cause retirement is based on the high three…..WASTE WASTE WASTE……the carriers will get squeezed even more to continue to pay her salary. …..
More obesity in the Executive Suite!!!
More big $ wasted on a completely unnecessary, useless position.
And with 35 years already in, it’s obvious she’s going to be in this position a very short time, as it’s only being used to pad her retirement.
USPS mgmt at all levels = the most corrupt, unethical, sleaze in the world.
35 years and she still working ?? When I have 35 years in I better be retired!!
So we still need a President and a VP in this position? ???? I’m not seeing the savings or the downsizing…..
