May 6, 2015 The U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs held a business meetingĀ  on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Four nominees for the United States Postal Service Board of Governors were approved at the business meeting.

bog5615Bennett, Barnett and Crawford were approved unanimously. Four Senators (Tester, Peters, Heitkamp and Baldwin) voted against approving Miller. All four now face a full Senate hearing on their nominations.

Senator Tom Carper who voted along with other Republicans to approve Miller said, ” In the coming weeks the Committee will hold a hearing to consider a fifth nominee to the Board of Governors, David Shapira. It is especially important we move quickly on all nominations to the Board as the term of two current Board members is set to expire at the end of the year.”

  1. Once again, Turncoat Carper sides with Republicans on postal matters. How about the Delaware Democratic Caucus issue a recall election and get a Democratic Senator that actually votes with DEMOCRATS ! Carper is a disgrace and a sellout.

  2. Why don’t they elect a POSTAL WORKER? No wonder this place is going down hill in a basket!!
