USPS awarded contracts to six companies (5 in Virgina and 1 in Maryland)

The United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General (USPS OIG) awarded the contracts to suppliers with expertise in the areas of:

• Applications Integrations,

• Information Technology (IT) Operations

• Information Security and Program Management and,
• Program Management

The suppliers will  provide contract support services (staff augmentation and/or task driven requirements) for the USPS OIG Office of Chief Information Officer (CIO) that are required on an as needed basis.The suppliers may be used to procure support for other OIG organizational components (Audits, Investigations, Mission Support, etc.).

The CIO is the Senior Executive responsible for all aspects of the USPS OIG’s information technology and systems. The CIO in the USPS OIG is responsible for all aspects of Information system solutions: applications, data and voice networks, telecommunications systems, information security, and the computer architecture environment.

The initial requirement (base period) is for a period of two USPS OIG Fiscal years (FY-15 and FY-16). The USPS OIG fiscal year starts on October 1 and ends on September 30 as follows:

FY-15: October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015
FY-16: October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016

There will be a possibility of three (3) one-year options for FY-17, FY-18 and FY-19. The total length of performance (including options) will not exceed five (5) years.

The total value of the contract will be a minimum of $30 million and shall not exceed $30 million.
