USPS Celebrates 2nd VPO in Suncoast District and 400th National VPO

Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce Village Post Office Opens

What: The U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce Village Post Office (VPO).  This VPO is the 400th in the nation, and second in Postal Service’s Suncoast District.  The Grand Opening includes a Ribbon Cutting event and refreshments.
When: October 10, 2013 at 5:00 p.m.

Background: The VPO offers an alternate retail location for postal products and services. VPOs are operated by local businesses contracting with the Postal Service, and offer a range of popular postal products and services.

The Tarpon Springs VPO sells First-Class Forever stamps and offers Prepaid Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes and Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes.  A blue mail collection box is also located at the VPO as a convenience for customers. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and, Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m.
