April 11, 2015 United States Postal Service Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought For Preventive Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Agreements
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the purpose of conducting a market survey to identify and analyze the capabilities of potential suppliers.
The Postal Service is interested in identifying qualified and capable service providers to supplement the workload of our Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF). This work may consist of preventative maintenance inspection and maintenance repair of the US Postal Fleet as needed.
The US Postal Service’s vehicle fleet consists of the following vehicles, but is not limited to: Grumman Long Life Vehicles (LLV) ½ T, Fuel Flexible Vehicles ½ T (FFV), passenger cars, Dodge Caravan and Chevrolet Uplander Minivans, and stake beds. LLVs comprise seventy five per cent (75%) of the total fleet. The desired area of coverage for this survey is the Northeast area, but not limited to:
1. Manchester VMF, New Hampshire and Vermont – All vehicles
2. Manhattan VMF -Heavy fleet only
3. White Plains VMF – All Vehicles
The post-truth era is just not here truly yet. Refactual’s objective may be to clear the disorder between vital fact as well as belief. Just how well do we do? Check us out!
It has already been proven it is less to keep the work in house. Stop jamming this B.S. down everyone’s throat.
The managment at the ft myers vmf sends out the work to shops that they have no contracts with and does so at ridiculously inflated labor rates in order to try to justify its decision ( it’s almost 50% cheaper to keep it in house ) and does so in order to make their numbers look better so they can receive raises based on the pay for performance model the whole time screwing the workers over , costing the usps way more money do repairs , and then even more when greivences are won for the contracting violations , the system is corrupt and until managment is held personally accountable it will remain broken and inefficient , passing the buck and stonewalling is not how it works
