Four (4) facilities move dates were take completely off the schedule (for now):

Down here in the big easy it’s been nothing but the big hard. 14 plant managers since Katrina, and an endless stream of confused rejects from just about every city in the country WI, CA, TX,NV, FL,GA,AR, you name it we’ve had it! Money’s good, saving as much as I can in case I have to retire earlier than planned. Hang in there folks, it’s going to be a long bumpy ride and I feel sorry for the ones who are just starting out. I guess I’m lucky I have 25 years but I don’t have the age.
hey keep closing them down……..demonrat sen diane feinstein and hubby only made a billion so far……..the greedy pigs need more. look over their useful idiots……the problem is Staples!
don’t worry, hilldabeast who is only worth 200 million feeding at the public trough will go after the evil 1%. ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! dumb as dirt those postal workers are!
Ditto Alex Morel !! I’m at Jax P & DC. No room to work or move equipment. What a cluster … OT and V time.. who says morons are bad
If the people in charge of this disaster would simply look at the consolidations already in place, they would certainly realize this must stop.
My facility was a gaining office of 4 other plants. Our facility was the perfect size for the operations prior to consolidations. Today, we are a continuing safety hazard that cannot “clear” any operation. Every class of mail, express, priority, pp, and forget letters. The primary has two staging areas: “old mail” and new mail.
The safety issues. Hah! If a true emergency happened and the facility had to be evacuated, there would be a number of casualties due to congested aisle ways. These aisle ways is suppose to accommodate two pieces of equipment being able to pass safely. Today, individuals have to weave their way down the aisles.
Sad, sad, sad!!!!!!
You people really really think that the Republicans will determine the fate of the USPS….WTF did the Democraps do..What is King Odumbo doing for us or when he had control of the Senate and the House……Tell me……
Here in Scranton Pa, our closing date has been changed to TBD.. But the company union we have hasn’t told us a word!
Wow didn’t see this coming lol, Been at the Chattanooga plant for nearly 20 years and we were on our 4th closing date (since 2012). Now they have decided what everyone here has been screaming at them for the last 3 years. Closing Chatt down would be a huge mistake and oh look suddenly the date has been added to the TBD list. End of the day I really don’t care if they do or do not admit they screwed up. I am just happy I will not have to move my entire family 200 miles to the north of south.
Ditto up here in Harrisburg P&DC… Our District Manager suddenly retired. Our Senior Plant Manager suddenly transferred to Tennessee.. Our new Acting Senior Plant Manager is from West Virginia.. Not sure if we have a new Central PA District Manager???? And our new Lead MDO is from Florida… And to make matters worse.. There’s at least 15 MHA’s that have been 204b’s for over a year now.. I certainly see us PRIVATIZED if a REPULIBIGAN gets in the WHITE HOUSE!!!
Similar here in Baltimore, not suppose to be using machines but we are and now we have to undergo a whole new bid process because they realized the start times were improper. Plant Manager, In Plant Support Manager and Senior MDO all dismissed, demoted or suddenly retired! Guess in a way someone admitted a mistake was made.
It amazes me the lengths the USPS will go to , to keep from admitting that maybe they wasted a ton of money trying to close plants that just aren’t logical to close. I’ve been at Mid Fl p&dc for over 20 years . Watched the consolidation of Daytona into Mid Fl. Now we are scheduled to close again. This will be the third date. The facility we are being put into. Orlando , Is being leased from the airport, doesn’t have enough room for there current operations, yet our facility is paid for and is almost twice the size. There is no way that any one with half a brain that is making these decisions knows that they made a mistake , but is not willing to admit it. It’s very disheartening, were supposed to be using only 14 DBCS machines per night and usually use 26. The sad part about all of this is all the lives the post office is affecting. People who have given there whole life to a company just to be tossed aside to try to save money, while the customer is the one that is getting 3rd class service for a first class rate.
Well James, down here at Manasota, we could take your story with a few number changes and it is our story. Been told this is our 6th go around facing the grim reaper. Knowing Tampa doesn’t have room for us keeps me sane. Enjoying all the OT and VT. Socking away a lot of money in case of a rainy day. Remember the immortal words of Bill Clinton; “I feel your pain”!
