BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – A U.S. Postal Service employee in the Lehigh Valley has tested positive for coronavirus.
The employee works at the Lehigh Valley Processing & Distribution Center in Bethlehem Township, according to a statement from the USPS.
The Lehigh County Department of Health confirmed the case and is providing guidance for the USPS, according to a news release.
“We believe the risk is low for employees who work at the Lehigh Valley P&DC,” a USPS spokesperson said in a statement.
There is no evidence that COVID-19 can spread through the mail and packages, said the USPS, citing the CDC and U.S. surgeon general.
