MIDLAND, TX The U.S. Postal Service is now actively seeking qualified applicants to fill Career City Carrier and Automotive Technician jobs, as well as a wide variety of temporary postal jobs in the Midland-Odessa area.
The Postal Service plans to fill about 15 Career City Carrier positions available at the Midland and Odessa Post Offices. Scheduled work days for these positions will normally be Monday through Saturday, with an average 40-hour work week. Career City Carriers are paid $15.30/hour to start.
The Postal Services Odessa Vehicle Maintenance Facility is seeking two full-time Career Automotive Technicians. Scheduled work hours and days for these jobs will be 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an average 40-hour work week. Career Automotive Technicians starting pay is $40,810 annually.
Additionally, the Postal Service needs approximately 20 to 30 people to fill a wide variety of part-time, non-career positions in the Midland-Odessa area soon. Salary range for these positions is from $15.26 to $16.22 per hour, with variable work hours and work days, including holidays and weekends. Start time is flexible and successful applicants must be available when called to report to work. Work hours will vary.
The non-career positions have limited benefits, but can lead to a rewarding career appointment with the full benefits of a federal employee. Note: Limited benefits for some temporary job Post Office positions include paid vacation days, contractual pay raises, and access to the USPS non-career Employee Health Benefits Plan.
