USPS Hiring: City Carrier Assistants; Postal Support Employees; and Mail Handler Assistants
The U.S. Postal Service is hiring for new non-career positions at various postal facilities in Washington State and northern Idaho.
Positions available include – City Carrier Assistants that deliver mail from post offices; Postal Support Employees who work in post offices, and Mail Handler Assistants that work in mail processing facilities.
Applicants must pass postal exam 473, be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate. Background checks and drug tests will be conducted. Veterans Preference will be honored. Starting pay range is $14.03 – $15.26 an hour and there are limited employee benefits in the first year of employment. Hours of work will vary depending on mail volume.
Applicants that apply for the City Carrier Assistant must have a valid driver’s license and at least two years documented driving experience.
All of these positions are non-career positions which could lead to career positions in the future.
