USPS issues Gingerbread Houses Holiday Forever stamp

This year’s holiday Forever stamp recalls America’s affection for gingerbread houses.

The Postal Service is issuing the limited-edition Gingerbread Houses Forever stamp this holiday season.

“Just like sending holiday cards, building colorful gingerbread houses is a cherished annual tradition for many families,” said Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Nagisa Manabe. “We hope the whimsical Gingerbread Houses stamps will add some holiday cheer to envelopes holding greeting cards and invitations this season.”

The new stamps feature four different gingerbread houses set against a bright blue background. The houses are decorated with sugary fruit slices, peppermint sticks, candy-coated chocolate and holly berries.

Customers can obtain a first-day-of-issue postmark by mail within 60 days of the first day of issue. They can buy the stamps at local Post Offices, at usps.com/shop or by calling 800-STAMP-24. They then can affix the stamps to envelopes of their choice, address the envelopes (to themselves or others), and place them in larger envelopes addressed to:
