Star-Spangled Forever Stamp

Star-Spangled Forever Stamp

The Postal Service is commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner with a new Forever Stamp.

This Star-Spangled Forever stamp is being issued in double-sided booklets of 20 stamps in self-adhesive coils of 100.

Capitol Metro Area VP Kristin Seaver will dedicate the stamp at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, March 6.

The stamp honors “our country’s most powerful symbols, our flag and our national anthem,” said Seaver. “When a young poet names Francis Scott Key saw those broad stripes and bright stars, he was so inspired, he put pen to paper and wrote the words that eventually became our national anthem.”

The Star-Spangled Forever stamp will go on sale at Post Offices nationwide, online at usps.com/stamps, at the Postal Store on eBay at ebay.com/stamps and by calling 800-STAMP24.
