Postal Worker Robbed Of Mailbox Key In North Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – For a second time this year, a South Florida mail carrier has been robbed of their mail key in a north Miami neighborhood.
On Tuesday, around 12:45 p.m. an armed man stole a master mailbox key from a carrier at 1560 NW 119th Street. The Postal Service said the carrier, who was checked out by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, was hurt and the man who stole the key took off on foot after the robbery.
In July, a female postal carrier was robbed of her key by two men in the 1000 block of NE 127th Street.
“One of them kinda had her in a choke hold while the other one came around and stripped her of her keys,” said postal service spokesman Ivan Ramirez at the time.
