USPS mail truck catches fire
EASTON β A United States Postal Service mail truck caught fire Tuesday evening, Dec. 1, within feet the Amish Country Farmers Market in the Easton Plaza Shopping Center on Marlboro Road.
Easton Fire Chief C.R. Chance said that when he arrived, the front engine compartment was on fire. By the time the fire trucks arrived, the flames had spread to the inside of the truck, destroying the top front and inside in the process.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and later opened the back hatch of the mail truck and sprayed water from its front through the back to ensure the fire was completely out.
