  1. Hehehehe. Pay regulars ot and keep CCA s under 40 hours. Even child can do the math, cheaper work force saves you money.

  2. Its funny…APWU & NALC bitch about USPS downsizing and cutting while their own corporate Wash DC offices are cutting and downsizing their staffs.

  3. All of management should be RIF’d. APWU & NALC should step up and run the place. Everything would be great except…who would they blame?

  4. To save big bucks, why not rif his royal majesty king Donahoe and replace him with some one from Manpower?

  5. Well at least this time PM’s are getting a chance to retire. Many are simply getting kicked out the door from small towns all over the country. While we tend to hate all management, it is worth remembering that it’s the higher level management that is responsible for the majority of stupidity the USPS faces, and underlings have virtually no input whatsoever.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t low level idiots and ass kissers – the service is full of them and always will be, but there are some good folk caught up in this bullshit, too. I can name a few supervisors in my career I’ve worked with who were as fair and decent as anybody I’d ever seen. One in particular who has since retired earned my respect forever because as the NALC branch president, I was always told the truth by him, and he treated all employees with real dignity. Plus, after my mom died, I had taken my dad out for lunch, and this supervisor was there. I introduced my dad and him, and the supervisor told my dad that I was one of the finest letter carriers and professionals he had ever worked with. My dad, who at that time had only a few months to live himself, couldn’t have been more pleased. Whether the supervisor meant it or not, and I think he did because I do bust my ass, it was so kind of him to do that.
We need a lot more people like that in craft and management alike. District didn’t like this fellow because he was on the side of right and suffered the consequences like unmerited discipline and blackballing so he couldn’t get higher level positions. That’s what the usual manager does to those who try to work with craft.
I hope Donohoe gets booted soon, too. Take your millions you’ve stolen and get out. You’re ruining the Service at light speed and are fooling nobody. Getting rid of just you, PMG, would solve a ton of problems.
