Just another tool to spy on senior Craft Employees for their “bounty” bonuses.
What the hell? I have long suspected postal management of cyber spying on their employees, but if this isn’t confirmation, what is, and what gives the USPS the legal authority to do such activities?
This is a clear invasion of privacy, and the unions must react immediately to stop this activity. The management is going way too far sticking their noses into employees’ personal lives, and because so many are mean spirited jerks, they will use such intrusions to harass and blackmail people. Besides, who are they to impose their morals on anybody else? Many in management are some of the most deranged, perverted and dishonest people in the USPS, and they have the nerve to spy on us?
Change your name often if you do comments. Make it hard for them to track you, and never never “friend” anybody in management. Do not comment on postal issues outside the broad range, and do not include personal information about your postal issues with anybody on line. This program in my view violates the right to innocence before being proven guilty, and will no doubt be horribly abused by a lot of bad people.
the crooks are all in po mismanagement…………no need to go off the reservation! who is watching the a@@ clowns in the postal OIG?
This presents a problem that is as old as our country. One camp, containing both conservatives and progressives, take libertarian umbrage at the idea of the government monitoring any communications.
The other camp, containing both conservatives and progressives, wants the government to use some monitoring to find crooks and criminals.
Ultimately, the goal would be to find a point at which the privacy, and law enforcement interests are “balanced.” Unfortunately, with this issue, as with abortion, gun regulation, and the like, a balancing is very difficult to achieve. Both sides are pretty dug in as to their positions. The courts will ultimately define the rules, after multiple unsuccessful attempts.
We cannot expect anybody in management to follow “rules” or “guidelines” in their spying campaign. They will abuse the system as usual, commit hundreds of Constitutional violations and find themselves as you suggest defendants in countless lawsuits. I personally am watching my union to see if they react, because if they don’t, that will be a serious mistake on their part. The four unions must file lawsuits immediately to stop this privacy intrusion before it starts.
Big Brother will be watching.
what BS! how much money is going to be wasted on this?then how is the info going to used?time to close HQ,and send these worthless deadbeats home
