USPS seeking Postal Employees with acting experience for advertising campaign

Above, Chicago, IL, employee Tory Davis in the Postal Service’s TV commercial on returns. Below, Great Neck, NY, Letter Carrier Lorenzo Hudson and Brand Manager, Shipping, Marc McCrery.

USPS is seeking employees with acting experience to participate in commercials which will be one of the elements in an upcoming USPS advertising campaign.

USPS employees give advertisements a genuine touch. A previous slate of commercials featured employees, including Chicago employee Tory Davis and New York Letter Carrier Lorenzo Hudson. Davis appeared as the letter carrier in a holiday campaign ad, while Hudson plays himself in different hats.

Professionally trained or experienced actors, preferably members of the Screen Actors’ Guild (SAG), are welcome to audition for the new advertising campaign. To apply for the upcoming series of commercials, email headshots, SAG certification, a short biography of acting experience and your current USPS position to postal@mccann.com. Be sure to include your contact information, as well as your manager’s.

Applicants must gain approval from their managers prior to selection and production of the commercials.

  1. Ummm why would you be working for the Post office if you were in SAG? Altho in LA who knows? Get approval of managers before production? HAHAHAHAAHA Its getting harder and harder to get approved time off for real life….

  2. they should have a lottery to get a true representation of the average employee. Odds are they’d get a crack ho or hillbilly, not that theres anything wrong with that

  3. My route is may stage! Over the years I have received many letters of appreciation from customers on my route. I would greatly appreciate the chance to be part of this towards the twilight of my career!

    Respectfully,
    William Caulfield
    Letter Carrier
