JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — A mail truck ended up nose down in a creek on Thursday evening.
Fuel was sliding along the water as crews scrambled to get everything under control. It was a wild scene along Sinclair Avenue and it was something that could have been avoided.
Investigators say the man inside this mail truck was hard at work when he was rear ended by a box truck.
“We believe just driver inattention. He looked up at the last minute and the mail truck had his turn signal on and flashers and he was trying to pull into the pull off,” Sgt. Bodo said.
While the state patrol worked on the investigation and discussed charges, other emergency crews worked to clean up the mess in the water.
