6/19/17 – A Littleton, Massachusetts, family is outraged after they say their mailman swore repeatedly and got rough with their mail.
The family said they’ve been complaining about their mail carrier for years, but it wasn’t until the U.S. Postal Service saw video from the family’s new security camera that they took action.
Why mail carrier Peter Kerrigan was aggravated, we don’t know. But as he delivered a package to the Caffarella’s Littleton home, he was seen swearing profusely.
While NBC Boston’s Investigators were interviewing Caffarellas, the Littleton postmaster arrived at their home. He refused to comment on camera.
A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service said in an email that they have launched an investigation. “This is clearly unacceptable behavior that does not reflect the thousands of professional, dedicated carriers in our workforce,” the email said. Read more at New England Cable News

That little toss was nothing the public would be horrified if they went inside a plant and see how there parcels are thrown about.
1) He is a rural carrier so he doesn’t wear a uniform.
2) Why is he delivering to the side door instead of the front door? If it is by the customer request he has to do it on his own time.
3) If a gentle toss over the railing damaged the contents it wasn’t packed properly. Parcels receive much worse handling in the plant and the associate office.

First where is his uniform? Just because someone publishes something on the internet doesnt make it true, all our regular carriers get uniforms so he is probably temp help no regular employee getting paid 55,000 a year would throw their job away for a temper tantrum this is the kind of crap published about the Postal Service that really pisses me off. The mission of these people are to privatize the Postal Serivce when you have to drive 10 miles to pick up your mail from a lock box then maybe people will get it If this really happened then he should be refered to EAP for mental illness because people who are this angry for this long have mental issues! It hard to believe that this could go on for so long and management never heard another complaint from anyone else? there is much more to this story than is being reported!

Well Rural carriers don’t get paid by the hour so anything that causes them to work longer pisses them off. They want to be done by noon everyday.
From the story build up I expected to see a raging maniac slam their mail down and jump up and down on it. Instead the guy gently lofted it over the railing and it landed on the porch. As any employee knows, most damage to mail occurs in machinery and handling long before it reaches the carrier. The carrier is just the one that is left holding the bag. What would these people think if they ever saw parcels being worked at any of the facilities between the mailer and their residence? The Kennedy assassination would pale by comparison. As for the guy’s attitude, he was alone when he was cursing and didn’t do it in anyone’s presence, so no harm no foul. The customer had a spy camera set up and so got more than they bargained for, but that is on them for spying. All in all, the media trying to create a story where there is none, and the customers look like a holes.
