APWU ‘Mark Dimondstein’ on Washington Journal
Mark Dimondstein, President American Postal Workers Union AFL-CIO, talked about U.S. Postal Service changes scheduled for 2015 which would not only affect delivery but and lead to the reduction of 7,000 jobs. He discussed his efforts to keep these changes from occurring and the future of the postal services as more people conduct communications and commerce over the Internet.
Geewhizkid,
How and where do you come up with you figures, other than your imagination?
In addition to the above mentioned statement, your spelling is an indication of who really might be suspected of being a dropout.
The Union does a great job..Believe it or not. I am a Postal Clerk with 36 years of service and I work ISC/JFK, I had won over $55,000 in monies from Grievances that my Union fourth hard for me. If we did not have a union we would be making $12 an hour with very limited benefits believe me. My Union President Mr. Ron Suslack is helping Mr. Diamond stein with our new Contract. It’s going to be good with Language about all these stupid changes taking place and a nice raise. And remember we have COLA something that the Postal Service just haste for us to have.
Absolutely Salty… The unions could care less they want the dues… It is lip service to show a false image… It’s all about the money… These entitlement addicted morons are killing the service, with the help of the current liberal administration… Just keeping it real…
While Postal mgmt. are totally clueless and will probably implode after it’s implementation to change thousands of employees hours in there plant operations in which as of today they are clueless of the effects and what to expect. They are posting jobs, retracting jobs and when asked they don’t know what to do to accomplish there goals. What do you expect from a uneducated mgmt staff that hire HS drop out’s as custodians and promote them when they don’t have a clue about what’s going on around them….go figure! There no pay benefit for an employee that is making six figures, has twenty years of experience that will take a pay cut to join a dysfunctional and often degrading bunch of loser in supervision and mgmt.
Govt is based on waste. Waste of work hours, office/work space, utilities, transportation, and much more. The unions have profited from wasted work hours and numbers of employees since they were formed. Union leaders do not care about employees but numbers bring dues and dues mean more for them to waste.
Hey geewhiz!
who do you know that’s making six figures. I’m a level 10 E.T. and even with overtime I’m not making six figures. Tell me where you work so I can transfer there. Or get your figures straight.
