Attorney for suspect in mail carrier shooting believes case will be thrown out

2/24/16 LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) — Eric Bennett, the man who is accused of being involved in the shooting of a mailman, appeared with his lawyer in federal court on Feb. 24.

His lawyer told the judge it was an unusual circumstance but he believes when Bennett appears in court for a preliminary hearing on Friday the case will be thrown out.

His lawyer told the judge Eric’s brother, Marcus was in court on the day of the shooting at 10:34 a.m. There is video that shows the time stamp and Marcus Bennett in court.
