EASTVALE (CBSLA.com) — Bold thieves have been stealing mailboxes in the community of Eastvale and officials say the victims of the crime might end up paying for it.

KCAL9?s Crystal Cruz reports that residents who live in newer developments are the biggest targets.

Specifically, the thieves have been making off with entire group mailboxes.

The Postal Service told Cruz that if a mailbox is stolen it’s up to the homeowners to replace it — it’s considered personal property.

  1. Secret Squirrie,

Telling the truth doesn’t mean I’m disgruntled.

Sorry you can’t handle the truth.

  2. 1. End all residential delivery in that community. After all… the carriers claim its too dangerous and dark to deliver mail anyway.

2.Assign everyone free PO Boxes. The money you’ll save from not working carriers will foot that bill.

    3. Eliminate all the routes. Excess the carriers to more safer less-dark areas where they’ll be safe and do their job.

    Problem solved!

  3. TSP,

Every one of your posts are negative towards the USPS!! If you are THAT disgruntled, why don’t you seek employment in the private sector?? I’m sure that Taco Bell or Wendy’s would really love to have a “Go Getter” on their staff like you!! Providing, that is, that you aren’t on OWCP with the PO!!

  4. Gee, I live in Eastvale also and I check the mail everyday…some of my mail has gone online to pay bill…If the PO doesn’t help. I will make sure all my mails are online and no stamps what so ever.

  5. The only thing USPS mgmt hates more than USPS employees, is USPS customers.

  6. The PO said they don’t see much of this?

I sure hope not cause there is 12 mailboxes in this one cluster box.

By going to these cluster boxes it easier for the postal service and the bad guys.

customers? well? You know how it is.

  7. These criminals are licking their chops, they see all the media reports about having a nation full of these things. We’ll have one on every street in America. They’re shooting carriers now, after these cluster boxes are set up the perps will just rob the customers or steal the whole cluster box

  8. Gee, but according to the USPS, these boxes will solve all the USPS’s problems.

USPS mgmt, at all levels, is incapable of even running the USPS, let alone fixing it.
