PROSPECT PARK -Some Prospect Park residents are frustrated over the USPS carrier annex on Dean Street, saying that the 6-month-old facility has become a source of noise and congestion.

While some residents have called the new location convenient, Amu Heda, the president of the Dean Street Block Association, says the post office uses the street for illegal parking.

“It creates a ton of congestion and backup as the bus and bikers try to proceed east in Brooklyn,” Heda says.

One resident says trucks are driving and parking on the sidewalk at all hours of the day and night.

Some residents are also asking for the number of postal carrier vans in the area to be reduced.
